My mission is to use my talents to create positive change, be patient, challenge myself, and never stop learning.
At Miami University, I am studying mechanical engineering with a minor in music performance. I am committed to high-quality work, results, and service, excelling in both academics and campus involvement. My high-achieving attitude is accompanied by strong analytical skills, a love of learning, and discipline. I enjoy collaborating with people whose talents complement my own.
My main interests include packaging engineering, consumer products, and industrial design. I am drawn to these areas because of my talents in engineering and math, as well as my affinity for design and connections to marketing, consumer behavior, creativity, and innovation.
I have gained valuable insights from my involvement in the Theta Tau professional engineering fraternity as both the service chair and recording secretary of Miami University's Colony. I've developed a broader perspective on what it means to be an engineer in today's world, such as having skills in communication, collaboration, and strategic thinking, in addition to technical abilities. Through the Lockheed Martin Leadership Institute, I have interacted with seasoned professionals and have transformed as a leader.
Outside of engineering, I have played clarinet in the Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra at Miami. Additionally, I enjoyed serving the greater Cincinnati community as a member of Alpha Phi Omega national service fraternity through projects such as Habitat for Humanity.
Work experience has given me the opportunity to thrive in a face-paced, problem-solving environment. As an intern at Melin Tool Company in Cleveland, OH, I learned about the business side of engineering, including areas of marketing & sales, management, and accounting. I am honored to be a member of Tau Beta Pi national engineering honor society and am excited to develop as an engineer and continue learning after my undergraduate career.
